Bronx Community Health Network (BCHN)
Bronx Community Health Network (BCHN) is a nonprofit dedicated to improving the health and well-being of underserved communities across the Bronx. Since its founding in 1996, BCHN has worked to remove barriers to care and ensure that everyone—regardless of race, gender, income, or immigration status—can access quality health services.
The organization has grown to 18 locations, serving nearly 100,000 patients annually. Its holistic approach integrates primary care, oral health, mental health, and community-based programs that address social determinants of health such as housing, food security, and transportation.
BCHN also invests in outreach programs that meet people where they live, work, and learn. From school-based health centers to family-focused programs, their mission is rooted in equity, prevention, and patient-centered care.
As BCHN prepared to open a new health center, its leadership recognized the need for a stronger digital presence. The existing website no longer reflected the scope of their services or the impact of their work. They needed a modern platform that could inform, engage, and connect with patients and the community.
Concept
Maxburst partnered with BCHN to create a website that reflects their mission and delivers a better digital experience for patients. The goal was to design an engaging, user-friendly site that makes it easy for people to learn about services, connect with providers, and access resources.
The redesign introduced features such as appointment requests, provider profiles, updated community events, and easy navigation in multiple languages. We built a flexible content management system to keep information accurate and current, while incorporating multicultural visuals and ADA-compliant design to ensure accessibility.
The result is a welcoming, informative platform that showcases BCHN’s impact and supports its role as a trusted health partner in the Bronx. Backed by ongoing support and scalable features like telehealth integration, the new website positions BCHN to continue expanding its care and outreach for years to come.
